2002年ソルトレーク・シティ・オリンピックではモーグルと男女スラロームの会場として使用された。パーク・シティの奥にあるといった方が通りがよい。
1952年、オスロ・オリンピック大回転で金メダルを獲得したスタイン・エリクセン(SWE)がこのスキー場のディレクターを務めている高級リゾートである。
全体に急斜面が多く、オリンピック・スラロームでは多くの選手がコースアウトの憂き目を見た。
現在ディアヴァレイでアルペンのワールドカップは開催されていないが、フリースタイルの大会は毎年開催されている。ソルトレークオリンピック後の2003年には世界選手権も開催された。2006/07シーズンにはモーグル、デュアルモーグル、エアリアルの試合が開催される。 |
