| 数年前のインタビューで「フラィイングはあまり得意ではないですが、ま、練習 してうまくなりたいですね」と言った。今季(2002)最終戦プラニッツァ(SLO)においてスロベニァの観衆は原田の出場を喜んだ。競技開始前、原田は世界最大のシャンツェを観客席から熱心に視察していた。チーム戦は２本とも190ｍ、いいフラィイングだった。本年満33歳、この世界では最年長である。ドイツの解説者は「いつまでも燃え続ける男」と放送した。まさにその通りである。(Kiyoko
